Chateau Erken is a beautiful building located in the middle of a lake and surrounded by vine lands. From the towers of the castle a wonderful view on lands of the ZET-concern and majestic Caucasus mountains opens. Our castle has already become a local attraction and an important object of wine tourism, which is new for our country.
About the Company
The “Concern-ZET” LLC is one of the largest producers of still and sparkling wine on the territory of Russia. All products of our company are made in the process of winemaking only from local grape, which is grown in accordance to strict quality standards and in quality environment. We own thousands hectares of vine lands of best European sorts. The rootings were brought from Italy, Austria, Serbia and Moldova. The plant is equipped with the most modern French and Italian machinery and many modern capacities and acratophores.

The vineyards of the “Concern-ZET” LLC occupy an area of about 1000 hectares and are situated on smooth and open lands allowing each bunch of grapes take enough sun light, mild mountain wind and all needed minor nutrient elements from the kindly soil of Kabardino-Balkaria.

In our vineyards there are grown such famous sorts as Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ancelotta, Crystal, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Niagara, Concord and Muscat which allows us producing a great variety of white and red, still and sparkling wine.

  • Cabernet
    The wine from this sort of grapes is known worldwide: flowery, with intense red color, rich with tannin. Sufficient acidity makes possible to pair the wine even with rich food.
  • Riesling
    Riesling gives a wide range of wine: from light but intensely fragrant to noble sweet, breed wine. Riesling cannot be grown in large quantity, as its yield is not high. It has flower taste well balanced with acid. Riesling gives flowery wine with fine fragrance of fruit with off-flavor of peach and apple.
  • Merlot
    By nature, the wine from Merlot is similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, but softer and lighter. Green wine has flower and fruit fragrance and ripe wine gains chocolate, vanilla and coffee tints. Merlot is well paired with fried meet and poultry.
  • Chardonnay
    This sort originates from Burgundy. Most likely, it appeared as a result of outcrossing of the sorts of Pinot noir and Heunisch. It is generously gifted with fatty and lemon aroma. Chardonnay resembles oak wood and is good to vat in oak casks both for a small time, where it gains nut and oat flavor, and for prolonged keeping when its taste gains ropiness and tropical fruit. The wine from Chardonnay is good to pair with white meat, paste and seafood.
  • Cabernet Sauvignon
    Perhaps, it is the most famous and noble of the sorts of Bordeaux. It was received as a result of crossbreeding of two grape sorts – Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. It possesses an intense color, fragrance and gamut. The wine complexity can be compared with cedar, blackberry or violet aroma. When the grapes have ripened completely, Cabernet Sauvignon makes wonderful wine – fine, rough, spicy, rich with tannin and able to olden.
  • Pinot Noir
    It is one of the oldest grape sorts in the world. Its ancestral home is Burgundy. This grape sort makes wine with silky tannin, having complex and delicate fragrance of cherry, plum, and strawberry and with aging, there appear a nut note and mild bitterness.
  • Sauvignon Blanc
    It is an haute and widespread sort in the world. In the Loire Valley and Bordeaux, this sort has been cultivated for centuries. Sauvignon always has wineberry, elderflower, grass, asparagus and green pepper aroma. Mostly, Sauvignon wine is heavy. Alcohol is often more than 13%.
  • Cabernet Franc
    This grape sort is always in the sideline of the famous Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine from this grape is softer and has less tannin than Cabernet Sauvignon, but much richer than Merlot. Cabernet Franc comes with an intense fragrance with tones of strawberry, blackberry and sweet pod pepper.
  • Muscat
    Muscat originates from the Central Asia and Greek and Tyrian fishermen brought it to the Mediterranean basin. For thousands of years, this sort has changed and evolved much adopting to different types of soil and climate. Now there are many varieties of Muscat all over the world but all of them are united by love to warm weather. That is why the main life environment for Muscat are the South of France, Spain, South Italy, Greece, warm regions of Australia and the South Coast of Crimea.
